As some of you know, I’m a big fan of Australian director Craig Boreham and his films. And I’m also a fan of Miles Szanto an actor he has worked with a couple of times in the past. You may remember my posts on him, here on LLLL.
So you may understand my excitement when I learned that both are working together again on another project called “Teenage kicks” which basically is a full length feature of highly acclaimed short film “Drowning” which I have written about here.
Here’s abrief summary that I have taken from the movie’s fund raising website:
ABOUT THE PROJECT
Teenage Kicks is a distinctive and compelling international theatrical arthouse film, from the award-winning team of Craig Boreham and Annmaree J Bell.
SYNOPSIS
In the final moments of his 17th year, Miklós Varga’s world has come crashing down. His plans to run away and escape his claustrophobic migrant family have been brutally undone by the unexpected death of his older brother, Tomi. Only Mik knows the events that led to this tragedy and as far as he can see there is only one person to blame. Himself. He is suddenly torn between his desire to head north and start a new life with his best friend Dan, and his familial obligation to fix his broken family: torn between the life that he wants to have and the life that he feels he’s expected to have. Can he fill the aching void left by his adored sibling or is he toxic and destined to bring ruin upon everyone he loves? Teenage kicks is a journey through the minefield of adolescence, as Mik searches for a way to navigate through his guilt and explosive sexuality to become the man that he wants to become.
As indicated you can support this intriguing project via Pozible You’ll find even more information on the movie there too.
You can see there’s still few dollars to go. Personally I consider the donation I made to be for my own benefit. ;)
Here’s a short video feature about the movie
Here‘s a sort article about actress Bojana Novakovic bein g in that film too. I’m yet clueless about the second (male) lead actor.
For those of you who like Mysterious Miles as much as I do here are some lovely pictures of him, shot by Los Angeles based photographer Emman Montalvan. Great pictures there! (Make sure you don’t forget to check out the tumblr!)
